Mildred L. Millie Csortos

Mildred Milly L. Csortos, 84, passed away at her home in East Toledo on May 18, 2010. She was born to Charles and Louise Liske on February 7, 1926 in Oak Harbor, Ohio. In 1943 she married Herbert G. Beyer and to their union was born 3 daughters and 1 son. Milly was very proud of being raised on the farm that was once her great grandparents place. Many will remember Milly when she was employed at Steins at Great Eastern Shopping Center from 1963 to 1968, and was later employed at Lasalles Westgate Store as the personnel manager. On the day the Woodville Mall opened, she cut the ribbon. She hired and trained the first crew for the Woodville Mall Store. She resigned in 1975. In 1972, she married Andy Csortos. She enjoyed traveling with their camper, taking a great trip out West with their friends, traveling many times up North, eventually parking their camper on the Portage River in Oak Harbor, OH. Milly was a long time member of the Eastminster United Presbyterian Church, and belonged to the Womens Auxiliary of VFW Post 2510, and the Riverview Healthcare Campus Auxiliary. She is survived by daughters, Terry Edward Miller, Kathy Schuett, and son Thomas Sherry Beyer, step-children, Bob Lila Csortos, Michael Sherry Csortos, Anna Derwin Hawley, nephews, Robert and John Liske, niece, M.J. Thompson, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Milly was preceded in death by her husband Andy, former husband Herbert G. Beyer, daughter, Milly Murrey, grandson, Joshua Beyer, parents, Charles and Louise Liske, brothers and sister-in-laws, Carl and Mina Liske and Earl and Audrey Liske. Friends may visit on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Limestone Cemetery, Rocky Ridge, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Eastminster United Presbyterian Church or the Womens Auxiliary of VFW Post 2510. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Villa for the care that was given to Milly the past two months. Thanks also to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care even though it was for only a brief period.
