Mildred L. Barteck

Mildred L. (Lawrence) Barteck, 89, of Perrysburg, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Mildred was born October 8, 1932 in Miami, Florida to Tim P. and Clara D. (Ray) Lawrence. She married Richard V. Barteck on March 1, 1952 and they shared 52 years together until he passed on October 6, 2004. Mildred attended Maumee Valley Nursing School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Toledo. Mildred started her career as a nurse in 1964, working at Riverside Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of the Master Gardeners Club in Wood County and she and her husband, Richard received 2nd place for the best garden in Wood County. Mildred loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children; Loretta (Ted) Ludwig, Edward (Denise) Barteck, Richard (Shawn) Barteck and Charles (Laurie) Barteck; grandchildren, Sarah (Tim) Huston, Katie (Mike) Fitzpatrick, Ben Ludwig, Jon (Jen) Barteck, Brent Barteck, Hannah (Kyle) Breitenstein, Taylor (Cheyenne) Barteck, Ethan Barteck, Jack Barteck and Abbie Barteck; great-grandchildren, Kaela Huston, Evan and Kiersten Ludwig, Reese Fitzpatrick, Logan Barteck, Peyton Barteck, Sophia, Elouise, and Ivy Barteck, brother, Raymond (Martha) Lawrence and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline; parents; brother, Donald Lawrence and sister, Marie Bradley. Friends will be received Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
