Michele Milazzo

Michele Mike Milazzo, 82, of Port Clinton, passed away, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH. He was born on April 07, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Joseph and Josephine Montero Milazzo. On May 01, 1954 in Bremerton, WA, he married Patricia E. Cole and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2010. He worked as a salesman in radio broadcasting. Mike served as a hospital corpsman in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. Mike was a member of the Italian/American Beneficial Club, American Legion Post #113, Moose Lodge #1610 and a member of the Oak Harbor Golf Club. He loved to golf, enjoyed playing pool, watching old movies and cheering for Notre Dame football. Survivors include: Children: Mike J. Debbie Milazzo of Oregon, OH, Steven P. Carol Milazzo of Libertyville, IL, Laurie Cliff Keating of Huber Heights, OH, Rick Stacy Milazzo of Sevenfields, PA and Tim Mary Milazzo of Tiffin, OH; Grandchildren: Shawn, Melissa, Tricia, Tony, Steven, Jillian, Christopher, Carolyn, Vince, Luke, Maxine and Marco. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother: George Joseph Joe Milazzo and sister: Carmella Loretta Nell Perry. The funeral mass will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00AM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH, beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. prior to mass. Interment will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH, with military graveside services being conducted by the American Legion Post #113. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions in memory of Mike can be given to the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH.
