Michele R. Mcnulty

November 3, 1969 — April 4, 2017

Michele Kania McNulty, age 47, passed away Tuesday April 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. Michele lived a life that wore the mark of her great generosity and love for people. She was famously capable of doing anything, from fixing appliances and hospital network databases to teaching English Composition to grateful college students of all ages. She was a Renaissance Woman. Michele was born on November 3, 1969 to Roger J. Kania and Mary Ann (Romstadt) Kania. She attended Clay High School, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree and her Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Toledo. Michele also completed her certification as a Network Analyst. She immediately pursued careers in both fields. She taught English Composition for several years at Owens Community College, and she enjoyed a 17-year career at St. Luke’s and Promedica Hospitals in a variety of positions in Healthcare IT. She then moved on to a job as a Senior Consultant for Culbert Healthcare Solutions, where she spent the last 3 years of her career. Some of her accomplishments and professional affiliations include winning the CARE Award at St. Luke’s Hospital, winning the prestigious 4-C Award from Culbert Healthcare, sitting on the Board of Directors for the Anne Grady Corp., and involving herself in community organizations like Citizens for an Effective Government for the City of Toledo. Michele worked hard in her career, but she also enjoyed life. She was religious about attending the sporting and extracurricular activities of her sons Quinn and Carson. Whether she was watching Quinn from the sidelines of the wrestling mats, or in the audience watching Carson play the role of King Triton, she was always proud to say that her boys were her most important accomplishment of her life. Michele enjoyed annual family vacations to Lake Michigan and Florida, and trips to Mexico with the love of her life, Rob Wise. Michele and Rob had a close-knit group of friends who enjoyed backyard parties and trips to the casino. Michele will be remembered by the mass of people who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Quinn (16) and Carson (14); her fiancé, Rob Wise; her mother, Mary Ann Kania (David Kuebler); her sister, Rebecca Kania McLean (James); her nieces Claire and Emma; her extended family Sean, Megan and Margot McNulty; her step-brothers Chris Kuebler, Scott Kuebler (Keri) and Jason Kuebler (Jennie); and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Michele was preceded in death by her father, Roger J. Kania; her grandmother, Virginia (Camarata) Kania; her grandfather, Casimer Kania; her grandmother, Ruth (Bacon) Romstadt; and her grandfather, Joseph L. Romstadt. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home (3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio).
