Michael R Witzman

Michael R. Mike Witzman, 68, of Maumee, OH. passed away on Friday May 18, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 24, 1943 to George and Clara Hatt Witzman. On December 22, 1979, Mike married Mary Kay Richardson at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served in Vietnam, and also the Air National Guard. Mike owned and operated Mikes Perch House in Toledo. He was a member of the Maumee VFW Post 1115 and raced midget cars in the Tri State Area. Mike is survived by his daughter, Sara Chad Koepfler, sons, Daniel Theresa Condon, Matthew Ruby Condon, grandchildren, Christina Zach, Jessica Dan, Stephanie, Brad, Laura, Christopher, William, Melissa, Brian, Kaiden, Carter, Anniston, Olivia, Garrett, and Megan, brother, Jerry Sue, sister Suzanne, and mother-in-law, May Richardson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Kay, brothers, Patrick, George, sister, Corky, and father-in-law, Norman Richardson. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio and especially Mikes nurse Heather for all of their care and support for the family. Visitation for Mike will be on Monday May 21, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio, with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio with prayers beginning at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
