Michael R. Vanhoose

Michael R. VanHoose 43, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 28, 2016. Michael was born July 08, 1973, in Port Clinton, OH, the son of Kenneth and Edna (Blankenship) VanHoose. He began working at the age of 14, with his mentor, Kim Smith and opened his own shop, Anything Automotive in 1998. On July 11, 2008 in Port Clinton, he married Dawn Marie Smith and she survives. Michael and Dawn were together since 1991. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and drag racing. Michael loved being around family and friends and having everyone over for cook outs. Left to cherish his memory: Loving Wife: Dawn M. VanHoose; Son: Seth (Tiffany) VanHoose; Parents: Kenneth Edna VanHoose; Sister: Michelle Ward; 3 Brothers-in-Law; 2 Sisters-in-Law; 10 Nieces Nephews and several Aunts, Uncles and close Friends. Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: James Marion VanHoose and maternal grandparents: Garland Lucy Blankenship. Visitation will be from 2-8PM, Friday, December 02, 2016 at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, December 03, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Michael may be given to the family.
