Michael “Mike” O. Vandall, 72, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia on March 2, 1946 to Okie and Mary (Church) Vandall. He graduated from Devilbiss High School and served in the United States Army shortly after. Mike married Suzanne Jasiolek in Toledo in 1973. This year they celebrated 45 years of marriage. Mike was a charismatic man with a huge heart. He was always making everyone laugh with humor, even during the rough times. When he wasn’t working hard you could find him fishing with friends, being outdoors, listening to the Detroit Tigers and most of all spending time with his family, especially his daughters and grand-children. He was a supervisor at Chrysler for 33 years retiring in 2005, a member of Cooley Canal Yacht Club and several different posts of the American Legion thru the years. Mike is survived by his wife, Suzanne Vandall; daughters, Rachael (Josh) Vandall-Hurley and Valerie (Allen) Vandall-Mercer; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jackson, Hudson and Everly; siblings, Nancy (Charles) Paull and Terry Lynn Huth. He is also survived by his son, Jon Smith. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial donations in Mike’s name may be made to the Department of Veteran Affairs, 1200 S. Detroit Ave., Toledo, OH 43614.
