Michael "Mike" Stroshine, age 79, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born on February 25, 1947, to Lester and Gelena (Gust) Stroshine.
A 1965 graduate of Genoa High School, Mike was a proud three‑sport athlete whose love of competition and teamwork stayed with him throughout his life. He went on to build a 42‑year career with H. Poll Electric, where he worked as a purchasing agent and earned the respect and friendship of countless coworkers.
Mike was a devoted fan of all sports, especially Ohio State football and the Detroit Tigers. Whether cheering from the stands or watching from home, he brought enthusiasm and loyalty to every team he followed. Mike also loved to go on cruises and enjoyed seeing the world with family and friends.
He married Teri, the love of his life, and together they shared 41 years of partnership, laughter, and deep devotion. Mike cherished time with his family, and he will be especially missed at weekly family dinners and at breakfast with his brother-rituals that brought him joy and connection.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teri; his son, Christopher; his mother, Glena; his father, Lester; and his sister, Juanita Harrison.
He is survived by his brother, Tim (Dianne) Stroshine; sister‑in‑law, Carol (Judy) Fornia; and his nieces and nephews: Mick (Erica), Sean (Stacie), Ashley (Bobby), TJ (Jackie), and Wendy (Nicki). He also leaves behind numerous great‑nieces and great‑nephews who will carry forward his memory.
Mike will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, his love of sports, and the pride he took in a life well lived. His friends and family will miss him dearly.
