Michael John Sevi Severino, 38, of Toledo, was born September 16, 1975, in Chicago. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20 in his home. He graduated from the University of Toledo with bachelors and masters degrees in accounting along with a law degree. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and continued to support them by serving on the Board of Advisors. Sevi was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Roller Girls and Toledo Mud Hens. He had visited all but three of the baseball parks in the country. Although always a dog-lover, in recent years he began giving his time and money to support Planned Pethood and the animals at the Lucas County Dog Warden. Michael was extremely intelligent and loved to play trivia. He qualified for Jeopardy several times. Michael is survived by his parents, Sheila Strausser Severino and John Judy Severino; aunt, Nancy Thomas Ciecko; uncle, James J. Severino; cousins, Katherine and David Ciecko; and a multitude of friends. He will also be greatly missed by Ruby, his beloved puggle. Visitation will be 3-9 pm Friday at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey. Funeral services will be 1 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church on 4441 Monroe Street. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Michael Severino Benefit or Planned Pethood. Online condolences can be expressed at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
