Michael “Mike” Schuster
October 27, 1954 – August 12, 2025

Michael “Mike” Schuster, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Born on October 27, 1954, Mike was a lifelong resident of Genoa, Ohio, and a proud graduate of Genoa High School, where he excelled in both baseball and basketball.

After school, he joined his father and uncle in serving the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District Fire Department, a role in which he took great pride. He later started his own trucking company, hauling steel across the region.

Mike was a simple man who enjoyed good friendship and conversations over a beer. He spent many weekends at the races in Fremont and liked collecting miniature race cars. He had a generous spirit and was the kind of neighbor who shoveled snow without being asked and found joy in helping others. He also loved having dogs around and was known for being a friend to everyone he met.

Mike is survived by his mother, Norma Schuster; sister-in-law, Mindy Schuster; and aunt, JoAnn Zwicker. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Schuster, and brother, Steve Schuster.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name can be made to the family, Genoa Christian Church, or the Allen-Clay Fire District.
