Michael Lee Rose

Michael Lee Rose, age 71, passed away on February 6, 2024. Michael was born on February 13, 1952 to parents Ulysses Grant Rose II and Dorothy (Briggs) Rose. He grew up in Kalida on a farm and later joined the Marine Corps.

Following Michael’s military service, he moved to California and spent time hang-gliding. This was an enduring hobby for Michael and he would often share stories of the time he spent there. In 1991 he married Teresa Donley, and the two spent 24 years together until her passing in 2013. Together they raised four children.

Michael worked for Chrysler for 25 years and was proud of his work. His favorite position at Chrysler was as a job setter, as he knew enough about all the different tasks to go wherever he was needed. Michael also loved riding his ’96 Harley Sportster.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Teresa (Donley) Rose; and siblings, Tammy Tschuor, Dave Rose, and Ulysses Grant Rose III. He is survived by his children, Cyria Rose, Sharla Rose, Samantha Lee Rose, Michael Rose Jr., Holly Shepherd, Trista Rose, and Annie Rose; and his siblings, Danny Rose, Jeany Rose, and Judy Rose.
