Michael Joseph Reyes

Michael Joseph “Mike” Reyes, age 83, of Northwood, Ohio, died peacefully at his home on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024. He was born on August 13, 1941, to the late Michael and Josephine (Turturici) Reyes in San Francisco California where he lived until the late 1970s. Mike moved to Santa Barbara, California, where he married his first wife, Claire.

He is survived by his daughter Rosliyn Bowen, her son Nick and his wife Tracy, and their children, Grayson, Jonathan and Marlow; daughter Brooke Harris, her husband Tim, and their children, Sean, Devon, and Brookelynn; daughter Tiffany Reyes and her son Markis; and daughter Danielle Miller, her husband Eric, and their children Vanessa, Gerald, and Giani. Mike’s brother, John Reyes, also survives in California.

Mike married the former Diane Pearson in 2003, and they shared 21 wonderful years together. Mike and Diane moved to Northwood, Ohio in 2010.

Diane’s family includes daughter, Michelle, and her daughters Sydney, Julia, Stella; daughter Kim and her son Dustin; son Mike and his children Johnny, Josh and Carly (son, Rome); and daughter Johanna, her husband Rob, and their children Paul, Mike, Laney, and William.

Mike had a deep love for God, his family, and his friends; was passionate about San Francisco 49ers football; and he was skilled with his hands. He owned and ran his own upholstery business for 35 years called Upholstery Galore in California. Mike could make something that was old and worn look new again with his unique skill set. Many will greatly miss him. His loved ones know he is with the Lord, his beloved parents, and his favorite dog Ayla.

Friends are invited to celebrate Mike’s life in worship at 11:30 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2025, at Redemption Church, 8605 Salisbury Road, Monclova, Ohio 43542. He will privately be laid to rest.
