Michael Peace, age 75, passed away on April 11, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born to Mike & Lottie (Burkhart) in Gatlin, Kentucky, on October 12, 1949. Michael graduated from DeVilbiss High School and worked at Chrysler-Jeep as a production supervisor until retirement after 34 years.
He enjoyed his cottage on Lake Diane for over 15 years. He loved playing golf and was an avid OSU Buckeye football fan. He enjoyed traveling and took over 10 cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, and Hawaii. Michael enjoyed classic cars and was the proud owner of a ‘64 Ford Fairlane. He also loved ‘50s and ‘60s music.
Michael is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy (Wojciechowski) Peace; children, Brian (Wendy) Peace, Tricia (Marc) Thorkelson, and Jennifer (Dustin) Williams; grandchildren, Patrick (Alicia) Davison, Evan & Emma Gardner, Mia & Nadia Williams, and Tyler Peace; and great-grandchildren, Nora & Theodore Davison. Also surviving are his brother, Robert (Wanda) Peace; sister, Joyce Haupricht-Peace; and sister-in-law, Cathy Peace. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Henry, and sister, Judy.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 15 from 11 am to 2 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. A prayer service will follow at 2 pm. Interment will be private in Toledo Memorial Park.
Memorial donations in Michael’s honor may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and aides at Kingston of Sylvania for their exceptional care.
