In the blink of an eye, God took one of his faithful believers, Michael P. Giles, home on Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was born October 21, 1957 to the Robert and Irene Giles. Mike leaves behind his very best friend and soul mate, Cynthia L. (Hartman) Giles. Mike found the love of his life right here in the Toledo Blade Personals back in 1989. His ad asked for a picture and Cindy sent him a picture of a sunset. In his return letter he sent a photo of a sunrise. A match made in heaven. They enjoyed every minute of their almost 25 years together. After retiring from Jeep, after 33 years, Mike and Cindy, along with their parents spent two weeks at a beach house. He loved vacationing near the ocean and camping and always enjoyed prospecting for that big ruby in Franklin, North Carolina and was planning a trip to pan for gold out West someday. Also surviving is his mother, Irene Giles; brother; Robbie (Paula) Giles; nephew, Chris Giles, brother –in-law Charles (Shari) Hartman , nephews, C.J., Patrick, Christopher, and Samuel Hartman and his loving in laws, Charles H. and Barbara Hartman. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Robert Giles and his Goddaughter, Symonne Black. Friends will be welcomed to visit on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 4-8 PM at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy Southwest Chapel, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
