Michael O'Shea Nutter, 78, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on February 12, 2025, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. Born on September 22, 1946, in Spencer, West Virginia, Michael was the son of the late Robert L. and Katherine F. (Goff) Nutter.
A proud Navy veteran, Michael served his country and worked as a machinist at Rockwell International in Newark, Ohio. He loved the water, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, and mudding in the woods. In his youth he loved drag racing, and working on cars. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his BEER. He loved animals and taught his children to love animals and care them on their family farm in Johnstown Ohio. He raised pigs, rabbits, chickens, cows, many dogs and cats and a horse. He was a passionate Ohio State Buckeye fan, and enjoyed spending time at East Harbor and Gypsum, where he loved to watch the deer.
Michael is survived by his 5 children, Michelle/Sheli Stoddart (Scott) of Surprise, AZ Christina Fenneken (Mike) of Columbus Ohio, Mindy Nutter (Ernest) of Tempe, AZ, Laura Nutter of Zanesville, Ohio and his son Michael O. Nutter Jr proceeded him in death. His grandchildren Tierra K Nutter, Zachary (Nicole) Fenneken, Ryan Fenneken, and Dominic Stoddart, and Great Grandchildren Elias Nutter, Jaxon Fenneken, Cassius Nutter, and Raylan Fenneken, Many Aunts and Uncles, Niece and Friends.
Also surviving are his brother, Gary (Carol) Nutter; his significant other, Susan Veverka; and Susan’s family: daughters, Kim (Bob) Keller, Mary Veverka; son, Joe (Tina) Veverka; granddaughters, Becca Royster, Courtney Olalde, Laura Pastor; grandsons, James Pastor and Stephen Pastor; and great-grandchildren, Alexa & Hagan Pastor.
His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Per Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
