Michael J. Manley, age 64, of Sylvania, died August 4, 2018 at his home. Mike was born February 25, 1954 in Lackawanna, NY to the late Edward and Marguerite (Ryan) Manley. He was a maintenance supervisor at Omni Source where he had been employed for 25 years. Mike enjoyed traveling across the U.S., biking, camping, doing research on the internet and music, especially attending jazz festivals. He was an avid fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers and he loved trying different IPAs. Mike will be remembered for his terrific personality and sense of humor. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved wife of more than 34 years, Judy, who survives. Also surviving are siblings, Marguerite (Vincent) Wishrad, Patrick (Gayle Weinheimer) Manley and Leo (Pat) Manley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was also preceded in death by his son, Steven Michael Marvin Manley in 2015; and siblings, Timothy and Edward Manley, Ellen Thomas and Mary Ann Loverne. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) The family requests, in lieu of flowers and other gifts, that memorials be made to the American Heart Association in Mikes name.
