Michael James Klavinger

Michael J. Klavinger, 69, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away, Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo after a month-long illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 24, 1952, the son of the late Albert A. and Jean E. (Draper) Klavinger. He was 1971 graduate of Genoa High School. On June 26, 1971, he married the love of his life, Betty S. (Heath), and together they made a loving home. Mike spent his entire life as a machinist for several area companies, retiring from Glassline Corp., of Perrysburg, in 2018. Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was devoted to his family. He supported them in whatever endeavor they pursued, offering his advice and experience. They all knew he would be there with them, no matter what. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty, son, Marshal Klavinger, daughter, Carrie (Christopher) Kutchenriter, grandchildren, Cameron (Alyssa) Kutchenriter, Jacob Klavinger, Chase (Madison) Kutchenriter, Caleb Kutchenriter, Cadence Kutchenriter and Michael Klavinger, four great-grandchildren, and siblings, Janet McGee, Barbara Gordon, Gary Klavinger, Beverly Bailey, Debbie Hosko, Mark (Carol) Klavinger, Scott Klavinger, Kay (Vern) Wilbur, Brian (Abby) Klavinger and Lynn (Jason) West. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tommy, and Jimmy Klavinger. Visitation for Mike will be held on December 29, 2021, from 4-8 PM in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, Ohio. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2021, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Clay Township Cemetery.
