Michael Joseph Jacoby of Perrysburg passed away peacefully in his home, of natural causes, on December 20th, 2020. Michael was born Aug. 30, 1957 to parents Gerald and Betty (Lyons) Jacoby in Toledo, OH. Graduating from St. Rose School in Perrysburg (1971) and St. John’s Jesuit High School (Class of 1975), he earned an Associate Degree in Computer Programming from Owens Community College. Mike worked as a computer programmer for many years, first at Seaway Food Town in Maumee, OH then at Spartan Stores in Grand Rapids, MI. Spending most of his life in Perrysburg, he was a companion to his parents and indispensable in helping his mother care for his father during his father’s terminal cancer illness. He was a friend to his siblings who loved him dearly, a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and best friend to his nephew, Ben. He will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; his childhood companion and brother, Matthew, Nacogdoches, TX; and two infant nieces, Jewel and Jillian. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty, Perrysburg; brothers, Bart (Svetlana), New Albany, OH, and James (Rocio-Rojas), Oak Park, IL; sisters, Andrea (Thomas) Brady, Perrysburg, and Jeanne Jacoby, Saline, MI; sister-in-law, Alicia Jacoby, Nacogdoches, TX; nieces and nephews, James, Robert, Angela, Michael, Lauren, Reyna, Audrey, Ben, Alek, Katia, Mateo, Erik, Joseph, and Andre, six great nieces and three great nephews. A memorial service, and a funeral mass at St. Rose Catholic church, Perrysburg, will be held at a later date. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
