Michael J. Hepp, 64, of Oak Harbor, passed away early Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, after a brave 2 year battle with cancer. He was born on March 5, 1956 in Norwalk, OH to Paul and Rosemary (Hipp) Hepp. Michael attended Port Clinton High School. He was employed at Ohler & Holzhauer as a plumber, then KBI and Chrysler’s Toledo Machining Plant as a pipefitter. On July 18, 2009 he married Deborah (Hayes) Wagner, and she survives. Michael enjoyed hunting, working in the garden and building things with his hands. In addition to his loving wife, Deborah, he is survived by his step-daughters, Jaime (Josh) Overmyer, Lindsay (Bill) Renz and Marki (Brannon Paredes) Wagner, step-son, Aaron (Sarah) Wagner, step-grandchildren, Trenton and Sydney Overmyer, Mason and Landon Wagner, Gavin Bullard and Sebastian Paredes, mother-in-law, Helen Hayes, sister, Kathie (Don) Meek, brothers, Bill (Terri) Hepp and Dan (Diane) Hepp, step-brother, Dennis Hepp, brother-in-laws, Amon (Patricia) Hayes, Jerry (Dawn) Hayes, John (Tiffany) Hayes and Jayson (Andrea) Hayes, and sister-in-law, Terri (Mike) Winke, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rosemary Hepp, step-mother, June Burnett, father-in-law, Amon M. Hayes, brother, Bob Hepp and an infant brother, maternal grandparents, Oscar and Helen Hipp and paternal grandparents, Paul and Gladys Hepp. Per Michael’s wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449 is assisting the family with arrangements.
