Michael Fleming

Michael W. Fleming, 70, of Port Clinton, OH passed at his home on Sunday, June 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on June 18, 1953 in Port Clinton, OH to Lloyd J. and Mary E. (Peffers) Fleming. On February 26, 1972 he married Christina Semelka, and she survives. Mike worked for Erie Township as the maintenance supervisor and cemetery sexton for 23 years. He served as an Erie Township Volunteer Fireman and E.M.T. for 25 years. He also previously worked for Uni-Royal and U.S. Gypsum. Mike will always be known for telling great stories of his childhood and growing up, which his family will cherish. He loved camping and spending time with his family. Mike liked to ride around at the campground in his golf cart with his beloved dog, Stubbi, and talk to people. He loved dancing and he and Tina have been known to really cut the rug together!

In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Christina “Tina”, he is survived by his children, Mary Ann (J.R.) Cipiti and Heather (Chris) Kinney, grandchildren, Haley (Travis) Finn, Brianna Zimmerman, Courtney Zimmerman, Kevin Wadsworth, and Savannah Wadsworth, great-grandchildren, Layla Rivera, Everly Finn, Emma Kieffer, Averi Salvagni, Kaylee Zimmerman, and Cara Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Michael Fleming, brothers, Ronald Fleming and Richard Fleming, and sister-in-law, Brenda Fleming.

Visitation for Mike will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH with an Erie Township Volunteer Fireman’s service conducted at 7:30 p.m. that evening at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be conducted later this Summer at Clinton Lake Campground in Republic, OH, where he and his wife have camped for the past 28 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mike may be given in care of the family.
