Michael F. “Butch” Evanovich II, age 80 of Maumee, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Otterbein Portage Valley in Pemberville. Butch was born in Manchester, Ohio on July 12, 1938 to Michael F. and Elizabeth (Udvari) Evanovich and on January 30, 1971 he married Mary Lou Selogy who preceded him in death on January 18, 2015. Butch worked for Crown Cork and Seal for over 30 years before retiring. He loved westerns, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed playing cards but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Margaret Katz, Mary Jane “Molly” (Champ) Jones and Laurie (William) Stroud; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, George Evanovich; sisters, Donna Wassem, Helen Dunham, Roberta Strong, Nancy Strother and Betty Kandel. Butch was preceded in death by his, parents, Michael and Elizabeth; son, John Lint; daughter, Shirlijo Bricker; brothers, James Evanovich, Bob Goulash, John Evans, Joe Evans; sisters, Mary Mayfield, Margaret Noftsinger, Rosemary Pritchard Friends will be received on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 12-2 PM at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will follow at 2 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Butch’s memory to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or to Cancer Research, 6600 Sylvania Ave. Sylvania, Ohio 43560.
