Michael W. Ebert, Sr.

Michael W. Ebert, Sr., 50, of Catawba Island, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the University Hospital, Cleveland, OH. Michael was born in Sandusky, OH on May 1, 1959 to Bill and Janice Jones Ebert. On March 26, 1985, in Marblehead, OH he married Olga Hernandez. Michael enjoyed spending time with his loving family, fishing, country and rock and roll music, the outdoors and canoeing. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavaliers and the Bowling Green Falcons. Family includes, loving wife of 25 years, Olga Ebert, sons, Christopher Allen Danchisen of Lorain, OH, Michael W. Ebert, Jr. Amanda Werner of Port Clinton, OH, grandchildren, Brandon Allen, Christopher Allen, Cheyenne Marie and Stephanie Anne Danchisen, parents, Bill and Janice Ebert of Catawba Island. Michael is also survived by his in-laws Elyio and Lucia Hernandez and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends and his loving pet Tootsie. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roland and Ilo Ebert and John and Zita Jones. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Janine Dress at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Michael may be directed to the Catawba Island Volunteer Fire Department.
