Michael Dudick

Michael Dudick, 86 of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, and former longtime resident of Brunswick, Ohio, a family man, proud veteran, and talented craftsman, passed away peacefully October 9, 2026 in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born on November 13, 1939, in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania to Harry and Mary (Shimensky)Dudick.

Michael honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. After his service, he carried that trademark military discipline, work ethic, and sense of order into his everyday life, working 35 years as a machinist and manager. He was a proud member of St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church, Brunswick for over 50 years.

He was a man who truly couldn't sit still. Michael absolutely loved to vacation, but at home, he was happiest staying busy in his garage and tool shed. There, he could always be found working on various wood projects or meticulously organizing his tools. When he finally took -a break, he loved unwinding in his favorite chair, happily watching the Western TV channel or cheering on his beloved Cleveland sports teams.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Dudick; his sister, Martha Dudick; and his daughters, Geri Russell and Lee (Rob) Flaviano; grandchildren, Mike (Shawna) Russell, Keri (Bennett) Westfall, Emily Russell, Megan Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy, David Kennedy, and Kaitlin Kennedy; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harry; and many other well-loved family members who undoubtedly welcomed him home.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead. Private interment: St. Jospeh Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice
