Michael P. Drusbacky, 95 of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton, OH. He was born April 03, 1917 in Port Clinton, OH, the son of George and Mary Mindek Drusbacky. Michael was a 1935 Port Clinton High School graduate and then went on to receive a bachelors degree in business from the former Michigan Normal University which is now the Eastern Michigan University. On October 14, 1950 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Sandusky, OH, he married Eileen Genevieve Andres and she preceded him in death on September 07, 1982. Michael was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during WWII. He worked as a tool crib manager at New Departure in Sandusky, OH for 34 years retiring in 1981. Michael was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. He was a Port Clinton Athletic Booster and was on the selection committee for the Port Clinton Athletic Hall of Fame. Michael was a volunteer baseball coach for 27 years for Port Clinton High School. He was one of the first members of the Port Clinton Athletic Hall of Fame. Michael was inducted into the Port Clinton Bowling Hall of Fame and the Toledo Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He played minor league baseball for the Yankees organization. Michael was a former member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter: Donna M. Drusbacky of Port Clinton, OH; Son: Michael R. Kelly Drusbacky of Port Clinton, OH; Grandsons: Jason & Justin Drusbacky; Sister: Margaret Oravec of Dallas, TX and several loving nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, wife, children: Richard Michael Drusbacky and Mary Ann Drusbacky, sisters: Agnes Schiewe, Mary Rounds and Ann Bolte, brothers: John, Joseph and George Drusbacky. Visitation will be 3-8PM, Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00AM, Friday, May 25, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH with family prayers held at 9:30AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions in memory of Michael be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception School or the Port Clinton Athletic Boosters.
