Michael D. Welsh 62, Born 1946, Died Jan- 28-2009 Mike departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Maumee, Ohio, with his loving wife by his side on Thursday Jan 28, 2009. Mike was an extremely loving and devoted Husband, Dad and Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father John T. Welsh. He leaves to cherish loving memories, his devoted wife of 42 years, Carolyn S. Welsh, his Mother Dorothy Welsh, his Daughter Susan Makowski, husband Bryan and their children Bryce and Jordan, Daughter Michell Murnen, husband Chris and their children Anna and Ashley, Daughter Lisa Florez, husband Mike and their children Danny and Marie, Sisters Cheryl Tam and Patrice Robie, Brothers John C. Welsh, Thomas J. Welsh and William D. Welsh. Mike and Carol were married in 1966 living and working in and around the Toledo area where they raised their family of three girls. A member of UAW local 12, Mike was employed as an Assembly Technician by National Super Service for 38 years, from where he recently retired in 2008. Mike was liked tremendously by his fellow co-workers and he will be dearly missed. Mike was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church since the early 1980s. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed baseball games, his Lions football team and March Madness basketball. He was always on a local bowling league, including bowling with Carol on a Ma Pa league. One of his lifes pleasures was traveling the country and he and Carol actually went to all 50 states in the USA. Mike also enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family. Mikes passion was spending quality time with his family and grandkids and the ones who were out of town he traveled to see often. His life can best be described by the words, Loving, Caring, Selfless, Supportive, Funny, Giving, and Generous. He will be missed dearly until we see him again on the streets of Heaven.
