Carr, Jr. Michael Andrew With his courageous wife, Emily, by his side, Michael Andrew Carr, Jr. died peacefully after an 18 month valiant battle with Leukemia on February 19, 2009. Mikie was born on February 16, 1980 in San Diego, California. He enjoyed paint ball, hunting and gun collecting but most of all he cherished his time with his wife and two children, Emma and Aydin. Mikie was a talented guitarist and singer, entertaining many with his splendid gift. Always the life of the party, Mikie brought laughter, joy, and smiles to every event and situation. His wife and children were the center of his life and gave him the reason to fight such a dignified battle. Mikie is survived by his amazing wife, Emily Stuart Carr and two beautiful children, Emma Bailey and Aydin Michael Carr. Also surviving are Mikies parents, Michael and Mickey Carr and Reggie and Bob Schmidlin; his grandfather, Andrew B.Carr Jr.; sister, Jen TJ Fulwider: brother-in-law, Cory Schmidlin; nephews, Tyler, Jacob and Tanner; his beloved aunt Becky Charles Stachowiak; uncle Bill Herman; and his brother from another mother Alex Bethany Ruiz. Mike is also survived by numerous cousins, and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia A. Carr and aunt Linda Herman. Friends and family will gather from 1:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 21 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where a memorial service will be held on Sunday at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome at any Key Bank for the Carr Care Fund. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to his doctors and the 4th floor nurses at The Toledo Hospital and the 10th floor nursed at Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit.
