Michael T. Brigman, 78, of Toledo, died peacefully in his home on October 10, 2014. He was born January 1, 1936 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Frederick Brigman and Carolyn (Smith) Reinmiller. A graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Mike was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked in tool and die with Dana Corp. and Teledyne in Toledo, as well as for Lyden Oil. Mike was an avid bowler and golfer who achieved two holes-in-one. He loved football and the Miami Dolphins. Mike was hardworking and had the patience of an angel. He always had a smile and will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory include: his beloved wife, Mary (Growden) Brigman; children, Denise Colson (Roland), Greg Brigman (Judy), Amy Brigman, Jodi Walters (Ron), Cheryl Schmidt (Michael), Brenda Brown, Jackie Simmons, Kevin Brown (Pam) and Mark Brown (Filippa); grandchildren, Sara, Dan, Jake, Austin, Samantha, Olivia, Mei-Lin, Sadie, Elyse, Eric, Prentice, Parish, Adam, Ryan, Erika, Lauren and Ashley; and great grandchildren, Kason and Onestia. He was also preceded in death by former wife, Sandra (Knapp) Brigman. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-8 p.m. Monday in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue (west of Corey Road) where funeral services to celebrate Mikes life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014. The United States Air Force will provide military honors. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo, P.O. Box 298, Toledo, OH 43697 or a charity of the donors choice.
