Merle David Pickett

Merle David Pickett, 71, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on November 15, 1940 in Mansfield, Ohio to Merle M. and Doris M. Pickett. He married Margaret Robitaille on June 5, 1980. He was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg, Ohio. Merle worked for the Chrysler Corporation for over 31 years. He enjoyed cameras and photography as well as woodworking. Merle is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; children, Michael Pickett of Toledo, Ohio, Penny (Keith) Bumpus of Bowling Green, Ohio and Peggy Lesko of Covington, Kentucky; special step-daughter, Barbara Bumpus of Bowling Green, Ohio; step children, Amy Pairseau, Christine Cramer and Ronald Jones; 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, April Siek and brother, Ronald Pickett. Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.S. Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Timothy Philabaum officiating.
