Melvin Taylor

Melvin (Stoney) Taylor died peacefully on June 15, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born to the late Stanley Green and Dorothy Taylor on March 31, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Melvin graduated from Cleveland Public Schools and went on to work a short time at McDonalds, until his health failed him.

He loved his family and he loved music. He never stopped loving Angie.

Melvin departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2023, after a long illness.

Melvin was preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters, Sandra Williams, Dorothy (Linda) Taylor-Mack, Vanetta Holmes; brothers, Anthony Taylor and John Chris Taylor.

He leaves to mourn, his sisters, Joann (Edward) Crook, of Massillon, Ohio, Elisa Taylor of Florida; brother, Nate (Shelly) Taylor; lifelong love, Angie Copeland; uncles, John (Faye) Ervin of Cleveland and Morris (Pat) Ervin of Atlanta; aunt, Annie Dixon of Cleveland, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and stepson, D-Angelo Copeland.

Services will be held privately to honor Melvin’s wishes.
