Mellody Taylor

Mellody Elizabeth Taylor, 50, of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023. Mellody was born September 4, 1972 in Dearborn, Michigan to David and Katherine (Beahon) Taylor. She graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1990 and attended The University of Toledo.

She worked in the aviation field at Toledo International Airport as well as in the field of Phlebotomy at several facilities, including Toledo Hospital. Mellody had one child, Ryan Evan Orgel whom she took care of and was her world, until he passed on October 19, 2015 after having open heart surgery.

Mellody is survived by her mother, Kate of Perrysburg; father and step-mother, David (Aleta) Taylor of Milford, MI; brother, David (Jennifer) Taylor of Hilliard; sister, Dorothy (Jason) Boomer of Perrysburg; nephew, Teagan Boomer; nieces, Maddie and Frankie Taylor; three step-brothers and many adored aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mellody’s name and her son, Ryan’s name to Camp Mountain Heart, 1372 Cedar Lakes Drive, #656, Ripley, WV, 25271.
