Melanie Renner, age 75, passed away on November 9, 2024. Born on March 10, 1949, to parents, Nicholas and Eleanor Orr, Melanie was the cherished mother of two sons, Christopher and Daniel, whom she raised with unwavering strength and care.
Melanie managed Parker Industries in New York, where she efficiently ran the office and handled orders, showcasing her exceptional organizational skills. Her passion for soccer was evident as she served as the President of the Long Island Ladies Soccer League, where she not only led but also enjoyed playing the sport.
Known for her dependable and selfless nature, Melanie was a friend who would do anything for her loved ones. Her sweet tooth was legendary, and she never missed an opportunity to enjoy some M&Ms.
Despite her distance from some of her grandchildren, Melanie always made an effort to visit them wherever they were. Her visits were a testament to her love and commitment to her family.
Melanie is survived by her sister Angela Crank; sons Christopher (Monica), and Daniel (Jeanette) Mugavero; and grandchildren, Kerri, Nicholas, Vincent, Jacob, and Sawyer Mugavero. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor and Nicholas Orr; and brother, John Orr.
Melanie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
