Meiriem L. Locker

Meiriem L. Locker, age 82, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek where she had been living for the last two years. Meiriem was born October 9, 1925 to Floyd and Hildred Woolpert Barber. She was a life-long resident of Toledo and she worked as a bookkeeper in the family owned construction company for forty years. Meiriem was a past member of the American Legion Joseph Diehn Post on Centennial Road. She enjoyed bowling and playing pinochle. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 62 years, John Locker who passed away in 2005. Meiriem is survived by her children, Gary Barbara of Northwood, OH, Carol Larry Powers of Toledo, OH and Karen William Hart of Waverly, OH; grandchildren, Amy Tim Arthur, Jeff Schwarzkopf, Alex, Nick and Philip Hart; great-grandchildren, Sam Arthur and Mason Berger; sister, Brenda Bob Biniak; two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. where services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
