May G. Richardson

May Richardson, age 92, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Thursday, October 22, 2015. She was born on April 8, 1923 to Henry and Grace (LeFevre) Geiger. May graduated from Maumee High School and worked at Libbey Owens with her sister Louise during World War II. She raised her family in Maumee and loved fishing and hunting. May was still fishing well into her 80s. Any given Sunday you would find her cooking a large meal for whomever arrived at the house; kids, grandkids or other family members. May is survived by her children, May (Edward) Aossey, Norman (Shari) Richardson, Jr., George (Brenda) Richardson, Susan (Jeffery) Winters, Teresa Richardson; adopted daughter, Carol Brokaw; brother, Henry (Mary Jane ) Geiger; sister, Margaret Harpole; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman; daughter, Mary Kay; seven brothers and sisters; 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild. Special thanks go out to her niece, Toni Wagner, for all her help with her Aunt Mazey. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 3-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio where a scripture service will be recited at 7:00 pm. Prayers will begin at the Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated by her nephew, Fr. Michael Geiger at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee, Ohio. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
