Maxine A. Szpila

Maxine A. Szpila, 96, of The Villages, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012. Mrs. Szpila was born June 27, 1915, in Michigan and moved to The Villages in 2008 from Curtice, Ohio. She was a retired nurse and loved animals. Survivors include her son, Dennis Laverne Brewer of The Villages; daughter, Gloria George Roth of Temperance, Michigan, along with 12 grand children and many great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, daughter, Patti Sue Roddenbeck, her parents, Charles and Libbey Sperbeck, sister, Grace, and brother, Ernest. Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. in Toledo, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 3 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held immediately after at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
