Maxine Clara Moore of Maumee, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10th at the age of 87 with her family at her side. She was a dedicated housewife, loving mother and grandmother. Maxine was born in Kenton, OH to James Osten and Mary Cleo Wells on April 13, 1924. She attended Scott High School and Ohio Northern University before making a home in Maumee, OH with her first love and husband of 68 years, Earl Moore. She was President of organizations at the United Maumee Methodist Church, PTA, and Maumee High School Band. She was a member of the Upriver Garden Club and wrote the society column for the Maumee Valley News. She was a member of a bowling league and golfing league and delivered Meals on Wheels. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Moore; daughter Sandra K. Adams and granddaughter Jennifer Kay Smith; sisters, Alvena Rose, and Helen Vanlue, and brother Walter Wells. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Graham of Maumee, OH; Grandsons, Daniel Earl and Charlene Adams of Swanton, OH; Douglas Jay and Sarah Adams of Maumee, OH; and J.B. Graham and Elise of Toledo, OH; Her great-grandchildren include Alexandria, Cody, Nicole and Billy Adams; Kasey and Bobby Edwards; Austin Smith; Keegan, Marina and Stella Adams; and Jonas Zachary Graham. Her great-great grandchildren include Leah Adams and Noah Edwards. Visitation will be on Friday April 13, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fairview McDonald Cemetery, Kenton, Ohio.
