Maxine M. Gillespie

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Maxine M. Gillespie, age 84, passed away Tuesday May 29, 2012 at Elizabeth Scott Care Center. The daughter of Joseph and Clara Pelton, she was born May 24, 1928 in Toledo. Maxine was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church where she was active in the Altar Guild and funeral committee. She was also a member of the Wernerts Corner PTA, mothers club and loved to travel with her late husband, William. Maxines greatest joy was her family whom she loved very deeply. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gillespie, Diane Dana Sloan; grandchildren, Andrea Jeff Heyer-Jones, Charles Amanda Tuner, Jason Desiree BeDour, Jessica Sloan, Matthew Sloan; great grandchildren, Alex, Abbi, Sidney, Samantha , Brittany, Nicholas, Madalynn, and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; brother, Joseph; and sister Eileen. The family would especially like to thank the level 3 nurses and aides at Elizabeth Scott Care Center for all of their wonderful care. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral services and interment will be private.
