Max H Priddy

Max H. Priddy, Age 87, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was self-employed in sales of industrial capital goods equipment as a Manufacturers Representative since leaving employment with Midland-Ross Corp. as a Technical Sales Specialist. After retiring in 1990, he was engaged in engineering design consulting services for several local manufacturing firms. Prior to moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Perrysburg in 1960, he graduated from suburban Fairview Park High School, and majored in Mechanical Engineering at Fenn College in Cleveland. He also graduated as a professional photographer from the New York Institute of Photography. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a rated Combat Photographer and Photographic Lab Supervisor for the Army Security Agency in Europe, with the rank of T-4 Technical Sergeant. Following military service, he was employed with Marbott Welding Company in Cleveland, where he became Manufacturing Manager, and later joined Gas Atmospheres, Inc. Division of Lee Wilson Engineering Co., in Cleveland, starting as a Field Engineer and later becoming National Sales Manager. He was an active member of the Masonic Order, having joined Denison Masonic Lodge #640 FAM in Cleveland in 1948, and later becoming a member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge #123 FAM In Perrysburg, where he received his 65 year membership award, and served as Chaplain for many years. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo as a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Perrysburg Chapter #446 Order of Eastern Stars, a past member of Zenobia Shrine, and was a Past President of the Perrysburg Lions Club. His hobbies included flying as a licensed private pilot and artistic photography. He is survived by his loving wife Velda of 67 years and was the son of Max H. Sr. and Amna S. Priddy, both deceased. A graveside burial service will be held at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, OH , on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio.
