Maurice Earle Green, age 87, of Waterville, Ohio, died on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Heartland of Waterville. He was born on November 26, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Ella May Tate Green. Maury attended Toledo University and was employed by LOF as a crane operator among other jobs. He was a social member of the Brandywine Country Club for 20 years and also a member of the Epicurean Club. Maury was a Cub Master for the Boy Scouts and a member of the Rubicon Lodge No. 0237 in Waterville. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was stationed aboard the USS Tupelo mine sweeping ship in the Pacific Theater. Maury was proud of his service to his country and took part in Honor Flight to Washington, DC. He is survived by his son, Neil Patti Green; daughter, Bethany Hand; step-son, Wally Debby Edwards; step-daughter, Shari Tom Stengle; special daughter-in-law, Terry Reineck; grandchildren, Leslie Edwards; Jamie Edwards; Robert Edwards; Lauren Guhl; Lindsey Green; Kristin Miller; Jennifer Green; Crystal Hand; Patrick Reineck and Colin Reineck; and four great-grandchildren. Maury was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Mary McKenzie Green; son, Jan Green and grandson, Matthew Stengle. Friends may gather at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
