Maurene Unger

Maurene Paulsen Unger of Sylvania, formerly of Oak Harbor passed away on her 90th birthday, August 6, 2007. She was born in Oak Harbor to Harry and Mabel Paulsen. Maurene was a beautician working in Port Clinton and the Toledo area. After retirement she volunteered at the former Medical College Hospital gift shop. She was a member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church and Sylvania Ladies Literary Club. The widow of Donnell Unger she was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her sons Gerald Cathy Unger of Pittsburgh, PA., Michael Mary Unger of Alexandria, VA., and Kim Elizabeth Unger of Tucson, AZ.; daughters Georgia Rothbard of Denver, CO., Jane Glenn Fausz of Sylvania and Robin Steven Evans of Sterling, AK.; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Wednesday from 3-8 PM where services will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM. Interment Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
