MAUREEN ELIZABETH NYGARD Maureen E. Nygard, 51, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Maureen was born June 9, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to James H. and Monica R. (Duignan) Noetzel. She graduated from Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan and earned her bachelors of nursing degree from Mercy College of Detroit. She married John Nygard on October 15, 1983 at The Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home Chapel in Detroit, Michigan and he survives. Maureen worked as a nurse for Children’s Hospital in Detroit and the last years of her life, devoted herself to her family and the Perrysburg Community. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and was treasurer of the United States Air Force Academy Parents Club of Northwest Ohio. Along with her husband John, Maureen is survived by her children, John J. Nygard, Thomas A. Nygard and Rose M. Nygard; father and step-mother, James H. (Vangie) Noetzel, sister, Mary Lazzara, brothers, Jim Noetzel, Terry (Jo) Noetzel, Paul (Sharon) Noetzel, Steve (Kelly) Noetzel, Rick Noetzel, Rob (Tracy) Noetzel; mother-in-law, Mary J. Nygard, brothers- and-sisters in law, Diane (Dennis)Wisniewski, Pat (Ron) Simpson, Kathy (Wayne) Henson, Jim (Andrea) Nygard and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father-in-law, Harry N. Nygard and brother-in-law, Greg Nygard. Friends will be received Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 5-9 P.M. and Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 1-9 P.M. with a scripture service at 7 P.M. followed by a Knights of Columbus Service. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home, Monday, August 15, 2011 at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
