Maureen Mo Arndt, 83, of Genoa, died early Thursday morning, November 19, 2009, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born June 29, 1926, in Genoa, Ohio, to Raymond and Helen T. OHara St. Marie. On April 15, 1950, in Genoa, Ohio, she married Richard E. Arndt and he preceded her in death November 8, 1984. Maureen worked as a receptionist for Genoa Bank, sold MAC tools with her husband, and also worked in the cafeteria at Genoa Area Local Schools. Maureen was a servant, who enjoyed helping anyone and everyone and was a very loving person who handed out tons of hugs! She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, where she was very active in church committees and projects; namely, the churchs Grotto committee, being a charter member, the Grotto Annual Swiss Steak Dinner, and a past president of the former Altar Rosary Society. Maureen was a member of the Genoa American Legion Post #324 Auxiliary, a past member of the Clay-Genoa V.F.D. Firettes, and for over 60 years, a member of the Tresette Club. She was also involved in the Genoa Civic Theatre. She is survived by her children, Michele M. Fred Mollenhauer of Genoa, Nanette R. Mullins of SanAntonio, TX, Sheila T. Robert VanderMeer of Perrysburg, Terry R. Margo Arndt of Martin, and Jeffrey O. Arndt of Perrysburg; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dick, siblings, Louis St. Marie, Raymond St. Marie, Charles St. Marie, Eileen Garey, and Geraldine Voltz. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa. The family invites everyone to an informal time of sharing during visitation from 7-7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2009, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. The family has suggested memorials for Maureen to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Fund, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430; or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
