Matthew Rood

Matthew Michael Rood died at home on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the age of 45. Born to his parents, Ramond and Jackquline (Bustler) Rood November 6, 1978, in Bowling Green, Ohio he grew up near the Dunbridge area and graduated from Eastwood High School.

Matt was known for being a bad ass. Many called him King or Rood Dog amongst his biker friends and coworkers. You could always find him, the Working Machine, fixing a bike or a car in his garage. He enjoyed fishing and eating Chinese food, as well as Monsters and Coke to drink.

He met his wife Jennie and they were married for 21 years. He was the proud dad of 4 daughters, and he loved his grandchildren. He gave the best teddy bear hugs and had the heart to match.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Jennie; daughters, Whitley, Elizabeth, Courtney, Hailey; grandchildren, Jaxson, Paxton, Catalya; moms, Jacqulene and Terri; siblings, Jake, Bill, Nick, Tom and Mandy. He was preceded by his father, Ramond; grandparents Francis and Elizabeth and many more.

Please join the family for a time of visiting on Friday, December 22, from 5pm – 8 pm at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home (222 E. South Boundary) with a funeral the following day on December 23, at 11 am.
