Matt

February 20, 1982 — May 17, 2022

Matthew Juette passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022, at the age of 40. This loving, devoted son was born to his parents Lawrence and Karen (Agosti) Juette on February 20, 1982. His very first word was “car” and as he grew his love for cars along with remote controlled cars, planes, helicopters, and boats did also. He belonged to the Toledo Weak Signals RC Club and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Matt graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2001. He attended the University of Toledo and went on to work at JDRM Engineering.

Matt knew all there was to know about cars. He belonged to many car clubs including the Toledo Tuners. His first car was a 1994 Ford Escort GT that he installed a new engine for racing in. The car that captivated Matt was his red, 1994 Corvette. He and his friend Ethan Bradbury spent many nights and weekends working together on the Corvette. Matt was so smart and mechanically inclined, well read and knowledgeable about everything.

Designated as the family IT person, Matt was crucial in solving everyone’s computer issues. He was so gifted in this area and was just brilliant at problem solving.

An animal lover at heart, Matt had many pets throughout his lifetime. Murray, his toy poodle, who passed away in 2015 and Jordon, his miniature poodle, were so special to him. The entire family including the fur baby will miss Matt dearly. He had a huge heart and would do anything for those he loved. If someone needed something they knew where to turn. Matt would be there to take care of it.

Matt had a special place in his heart and life for his three nieces. He cherished every moment with them and enjoyed watching them grow throughout the years. He would always listen closely to their stories and loved to hear about their crazy antics.

He will be especially missed by his best friend Ryan Brueshaber, and Ryan’s daughter Elise. He was like a brother and an uncle to them and adopted as an official Brueshaber family member.

He will be deeply missed by Dustin Marsh and a list of friends too long to mention that were better for knowing him. He loved them deeply.

Matt’s final act of kindness, that he was very proud of, was being able to be a tissue donor. His donation will help up to 126 people.

Matt’s memory will be cherished by his loving parents, Lawrence and Karen, his older brother and best friend Andrew (Lisa) Juette; nieces Corryn, Emily and Adelaide; uncles Steve Juette, Dennis (Carol) Agosti, Kevin (Wilma) Agosti, Douglas (Mara) Agosti; aunts Deborah Agosti; Dianne Godmother (Larry) Banachowski, Maureen (David, Godfather, deceased) Agosti, and numerous cousins especially Denise Robles, with whom he had a special bond. Preceding Matt in death are his grandparents August and Gertrude Agosti, and Howard and Jeanne Juette.

The family welcomes you to a visitation, celebrating the life and love that Matt shared with everyone. This will be held at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 4-7pm with a Sharing of Memories at 6:30pm. A funeral will be held on Tuesday May 24, 2022 starting with a prayer service at the funeral home at 10:15am followed by a Catholic Mass held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11am.
