Matthew H Heilman

Matthew H. Heilman, affectionately known to some of his family as “Herbie”, of Toledo, 56, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born to Robert and Naomi (Brinker) Heilman in Toledo on August 1, 1961. Matthew married his loving wife, Aeleen M. Kozina in Genoa on November 29, 1980. Together, they belonged to Lion of Judah Church. He also taught Sunday School at New Prospect Baptist Church. Matthew owned and operated his own dump truck company and was an extremely hard worker. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed fishing, and especially enjoyed sharing about the Lord. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Aeleen; mother, Naomi; siblings, David (Dusty) Heilman, Jerry Heilman, Sandy (Bill) Calvert, Melissa Blausey, Scott (Carol) Heilman, Mindy (Chris) Noe, Tina Hyde; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Heilman; father, Robert; and his grandparents. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Visitation will continue on Friday, June 29, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, where a Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Matthew’s name may be made to the family.
