Maryjane Roudebush age 77 of Toledo passed away Wednesday May 11, 2011 in the home of her daughter in Nitro, West Virginia. She was born in Toledo on November 8, 1933 to Chester and Verle Hicks. She was employed as an office manager for State Farm Insurance for 12 years, retiring in 1984. Maryjane was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Women of the Shrine. She sang in various choirs and singing groups and was also a member of RSVP. The widow of Lester Roudebush, Jr. she was also preceded in death by a grandson Lester Roudebush IV. Surviving are her children Lester Dorothy Roudebush III, Michelle James Thompson Bridges, John Mary Roudebush and Jay Roudebush; grandchildren Robert Springsteen, Jay Roudebush II and Tessa Roudebush; great granddaughter Chloe Roudebush; brother Chester Hicks; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home and Crematory 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Monday from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in Hope United Methodist Church 4069 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to your local Hospice or Hope United Methodist Church. The family also wishes to thank the neighbors of Maryjane for their wonderful care which allowed her to continue to be home during her illness.
