Mary A. Zapata

Mary A. Zapata age 97, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday June 16, 2012 at Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Toledo on April 13, 1915. Mary was employed at Broskis Restaurant, Perrysburg; and Divine Word Seminary. She was an active member of the Perrysburg Senior Center; St. Rose Church and the Medjugorje Prayer Group. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her son, Michael Mary Scavo; grandchildren, Annette Jeff Webb, Anthony Danya Scavo; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Zapata and great-granddaughter, Sierra Nicole Scavo; twin sister, Lucy and a brother, Michael. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee, on Monday June 18, 2012 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 am followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg, OH. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association or Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund.
