Mary W. Winfrey

Mary W. Winfrey, age 87, went to her eternal rest Friday afternoon March 28, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born Sept. 3, 1920 in Cameron, W.Va. to the late David and Emma L Tennant Church. Mary worked for Chrysler Corp. for 10 years retiring in 1987 where she met and married Virgil Winfrey. Mary spent the rest of her life being a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker, which was her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her son, David Burns of Irvine, CA. She is survived by her loving husband, Virgil; 4 children, Sonja Russell Burns-Johnson, Michael Patty Hatzidakis, Edward Gerrilynn Hatzidakis, Jr, James Hatzidakis; 5 step children, Lynn Sharon Winfrey, Don Tina Winfrey, Louise Jud Breedveld, Jeff Tammy Winfrey, Cindy Winfrey; 9 grandchildren, Chuck Kimra Martin, Steve Bob Meinardi Martin, Julie Rick Martin-Huggins, Vince Sylvia Burns, Shannon Larry Burns-Longenecker, Edward Hatzidakis III, Erick Hatzdakis, Joey Walkowiak, Michael Hatzidakis; and 9 great grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 5-9 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 515 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd where services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio
