Mary I. Windischman

Mary I. Windischman, 88, of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Williston, OH, died Sunday, January 20, 2008, in Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine, FL. Mary was born October 19, 1919, in Toledo, OH, to Steven and Maria Ramasocky. On March 9, 1939, in Toledo she married Woodrow Wilson Windischman and he preceded her in death September 2, 1992. She had been a homemaker and a former member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. In the early 1950s Mary started Girl Scouts in Allen Township. Having been in Florida since 1991, she was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in St. Augustine, as well as a member of the Shamrock Garden Circle and the Red Hat Society of St. Augustine. Mary enjoyed cruises and travelling in the United States and Canada. She was an artist, specifically working with oil on canvas. Mary is survived by her children, Woodrow Linda Windischman of Allegan, MI, Mary Ann Windischman-Auld of Toledo, and Anthony Barbara Windischman of St. Augustine, FL; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Windischman of Toledo; sister, Margaret, and brother, Bobby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Donald Windischman, and ten brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, with one hour visitation from 9-10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials for Mary to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
