Mary Elizabeth Liz Williamsen, 91, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. Liz was born on December 20, 1922 in Fremont, OH, the daughter of George and Leah Moore Miller. On July 13, 1943, she married Charles T. Williamsen and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1989. Liz worked as a nurse for Dr. Cyrus Wood, Dr. Cover, Dr. Coon, Dr. Crouch and Dr. Rhiel. She was active in the Red Cross and delivering meals on wheels. Liz will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Charles Mary Williamsen, David Sally Williamsen and John Kim Williamsen; Grandchildren: Ben Miki Williamsen, Sarah Scott Watson, Matthew Amber Williamsen, Craig Anderson, Bob Brittany Anderson and Mike Tina Anderson; 7 Great-Grandchildren. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters: Patricia Eborg, Kathleen Newbold, Jacquiline Ashcraft and Margaret Clady, brother: John Miller. Visitation will be 5-8pm, Thursday March 20, 2014 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am, Friday, March 21, 2014 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Mary may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
