Whittaker Mary Evelyn Mary Evelyn Whittaker, age 90, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in Augusta, GA, where she had been living to be closer to her family. She was the daughter of Harry D. and Jessie Truitt Philabaun born on November 27, 1918 in Clinton, Indiana. Mary was a wonderful Christian woman who loved the Lord, her friends and family. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Lee D. Marcella Whittaker and Barbara Thomas McQuillen; grandchildren, Jessica Jeffery Thompson, Kevin Nancy McQuillen, Martha Whittaker, Travis Whittaker and Candace McQuillen; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Whittaker and brothers, Harry, Charles, Robert, and Cletis Philabaun. Friends and family may visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. on Sunday from 3-5 pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 10 am Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
